  • Do you want to install lighting to your residents can play even during winter’s darker months?

  • What about colours?

What are the benefits of installing
modular court tiles?

Sport Court’s modular court tiles are made of the highest quality materials, designed to last and are easy to install. The tiles are slip-resistant and shock-absorbent, reducing joint stress while mitigating noise when playing on outdoor courts. Our Sport Court tiles are engineered to provide optimal performance for various sports, such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, hockey and beyond.

What type of foundation will you need?

You have two choices depending on your local bylaws, ground specifications, etc.

You can build your court on a Concrete Slab that will act as the foundation or build on our Sportbase Sub Flooring Surface.

Concrete Foundation

Your concrete foundation will need to be built to specification to allow for the expansion and contraction of the tiles during the summer and the colder months. Our team of experts can advise on what final dimensions your foundation should be. You’ll also need to decide how you frame your court, either by adding fencing or ramp edges to allow for a smooth floor transition.

Sportbase Foundation

In some circumstances, you might need a different foundation where our Sportbase Sub Flooring comes into play. SportBase and its upgraded version, SportBase II, is ideal for outdoor applications due to its heavy-duty construction and modular sub-base flooring system that ensures water drainage. Initially designed for military deployments and large industrial complexes, this revolutionary product has been made available to civilians with the same durability yet environmentally friendly elements.

A usual practice for court construction would require a concrete foundation; however, this can be incredibly costly if removed and dumped. Additionally, its hardness does not offer any cushioning upon impact or water permeability, which is often prohibited by local bylaws. Considering these limitations, an alternative to concrete foundations has become increasingly popular among athletes.
